Keegan Allen Q & A

22 Feb

ABC Family recently held a Q&A session with Pretty Little Liars’ Keegan Allen (Toby Cavanaugh). The transcript is posted below. Enjoy!

Moderator Emily and Toby have a really unique relationship together; do you think it’s romantic chemistry or just friendship?

K. Allen At first they were just really great friends and they’re both very shy characters. I think that now, seeing as where Emily is going with her own sexuality and finding who she is, they can be friends, but he’s still very hesitant of Emily. We’ll see that evolve more as the series goes on.

Moderator Is Toby going to get positive resolution by the finale this season?

K. Allen Yes, I think that he will. Obviously we see Toby get beaten down and he’s always in that red spotlight. Getting his ankle bracelet off and finding this friend in Spencer, I definitely see a positive turn of events for him towards the finale.

Moderator Last night we saw Toby hanging out with Spencer; how’s that going to affect his relationship with Jenna?

K.Allen That’s a really good question. Actually, Jenna is a very jealous, jealous character. Toby and Jenna have that stepsibling crazy, weird romance thing going on where he’s been abused and bashed by her in the past. I think the jealousy will rise from Jenna in a different way than when it affected him with Emily. Now it’s like another problem for Jenna to deal with, more people trying to pull Toby away.

Thomas Fiss Interview!

15 Oct

1. Where do you hope to see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I would love to have 2 multi-platinum albums, and on a world tour. It’ll happen, so start planning for it…

2. If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be?

I would love to colab with The Dream….well him and Ryan Tedder. I respect both completely as artists and the fact that they are so successful in making music they love. I think it also means a lot that they are able to write such successful songs for other artists as well. Really shows that they know their craft. I like seeing that in people in a business thats so full of followers.

3. What artist(s) (if any) has had the greatest influence on your music?

I grew up listening to Thursday, One Republic, Something Corporate……I never got into the pop stuff until later. One of my inspirations as an artist is Andrew McMahon of Something Corporate. His style of song writing is really motivating. I feel like he’s probably inpired my song writing the most.

4. If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Anywhere in the world? How about all over? Seriously, I plan on doing a lot of touring over the next few years. If I don’t come close your city, let me know and I’ll do what I can to play a show in your area. I love my fans, so anything I can do to give them a chance to see me play live I’ll do.

5. Any messages for your present and future fans?

I actually like to call my fans “friends”. If they can get out and buy my music, or come to a show, or send me a twitter message….they are apart of the crew! You all rock! And for anyone that is new to my music, just enjoy it…I write it from the heart and I put everything I have into every performance…If you get a chance to see me live, do it. I promise we’ll hang out before and after the show! Rock on!

Emily Osment Interview!

5 Oct

In honor of the release of Fight or Flight, here is an interview I had recently with Emily Osment. Be sure to go pick up a copy of the CD in stores today! 🙂

1. Where did you come up with the idea for the title of the CD?
I have always been fascinated by this inborn reaction and I love the idea of not having control over for a split second. I want my music to do the same. I want to shock in a musical way.
2. What are your plans now that Hannah Montana is finished?
As soon as the show wrapped I flew to Canada and headlined the Soda Pop tour for almost two months. I love being on tour and being able to give myself fully to the music and participate in every aspect of the creative process. I plan to continue promoting my record abroad and hope to keep a steady great relationship with my fans. I have some films projects in the works that I am so excited for as well.

Chris Koon Interview!

3 Oct

I got the chance to interview a great new artist named Chris Koon! You can check out the full interview below. 🙂

1. Where do you hope to see yourself in 5 years?

You know – it’s funny. I’ve always been the guy to plan everything out and kind of say “by this time I wanna do this” and “by this time I wanna do that”. Being from such a small town, I’ve gotten to do so many things I never thought I’d get to do, and I think right now, I’m kind of just trying to enjoy the moment. I’ve done such a bad job of that because I’ve been too busy planning…hahaha…but now that I’m getting to live some of those dreams I never thought I’d get to live, I’m kind of just taking it day by day, and hoping that in 5 years, I’m still able to do what I’m doing and still having a good time.

Lifehouse Interview!

11 Mar

So I recently got the chance to do an email interview with Ben Carey (far right) of Lifehouse! This was a really exciting opportunity so of course I’d love to share it with you guys. Below is the interview. =)

How did you guys first meet?
It’s a small world in the LA music scene. Although none of us are LA natives we all met in and around Los Angeles area

Where did your band name come from?
Our first record was done and the time crunch was on. Our old band name was taken, so the scramble began for a new one. No great thought process was attached. We tried a bunch of names and they were all taken, then we came up with Lifehouse, it sounded good so we went for it. And most importantly it wasn’t taken!!!!

What is your favorite song to perform?
It’s a tie between “Nerve Damage” and our new single, “Halfway Gone”

Where is one place you want to go on tour?
I’d love to go to Australia

What is the most impactful thing that has happened to you?
Surviving a potentially fatal car accident

What is one thing you are hoping to do in the future?
I’d love to do a long long harley ride with a small group of mates and my dad across various parts of the USA

If you could be doing anything else besides being in the band, what would it be?
I’d love to be involved with basketball in very hands on way … either playing or coaching at a high level

Is there anything you would go back and change if you could?
Maybe I’d make myself taller, then I may have a shot at the NBA lol…

What/who were your inspirations to get into the music business?
Early on in life I loved bands such as Aerosmith and Dire Straights but my biggest influence was my teacher/mentor Matt Disney and my guitar hero Irwin Thomas

If you could meet anyone who would it be?
Michael Jordan

If you could do a collaboration with anyone, who would it be?
I’d love to work with Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers or the producer Mutt Lange

If you could say one thing to your fans what would it be?
Thanks for coming to our shows and digging our music. We love playing live more than anything and being able to do this and share it with all of you every night on the road is awesome.

Candace Cameron Bure Q&A!

11 Jan

So we recently got the chance to be a part of a question and answer session with Make It or Break It’s Candace Cameron Bure (Summer). You may also recognize her as DJ from Full House. You can find the transcript from the call below. =)

Moderator Our first question comes from the line Kenn Gold with MediaBlvd.

K. Gold Hello, Candace. Thank you for talking to us today. I have to say I’m actually a Boulder, Colorado, native so your show really resonates with me. I grew up in that town and I love the show when I see it. The other question I have, I know you’re a Christian. You have one a character who promotes Christian values positively, which is really rare in this day of media. How do you feel about having that role, and did you have to fight to get your character, Summer, to have those values on the show?

C. Bure It was very interesting. I do hold a higher standard in some of the things I will do and won’t do. Some of that played into my character with Summer when we had created her, but originally I never asked if she was a Christian at all. That was something that after we talked, the producer decided it would be a great element to add to the show.

I was excited about that and it wasn’t something I was expecting. It’s been interesting for me because although I’m not Summer, we do hold a lot of the same views and opinions and values. It’s something I truly believe in, which is interesting as an actor, to really mean a lot of the lines that I’m saying and to believe in them.

I’m happy, being a Christian and portraying a Christian on television, and I want to make sure that it is a positive reflection of Christianity, unlike some of the views that we see in other characters on television shows that aren’t portraying Christianity so greatly. Anyway, it’s an exciting thing for me and I’m happy about it.
