Exclusive Interview with The Script

I got a chance to do an email interview with Glen from The Script! I thought I would send the same questions for all the interviews so that way we can see the answers for everyone and compare them. You can read Glen’s answers below. =)

How did you guys first meet?
I met Mark through some mutual musical friends in Dublin. A friend of mine told me about Mark and suggested
I should get in touch with him. So after getting his number, one day I was sitting in the studio and got a hunch
and decided to call him. We got on great on the phone and Mark was in Dublin at the time and invited me into
town to meet him and we hung out in the studio at the back of his Mother’s house and I played him different songs
I had been working on and he played me stuff himself and Dan had been doing. It was one of those moments where
we just clicked as people. Little did we know what was in store for us a short time later on.

Where did your band name come from?
Our songs are story like in nature. And when we call each other up, we say to each other ‘ What’s the Script? ‘ meaning ‘ Whats The Story? ‘ like whats happening today? We still do it all the time. Also, this band was really born in L.A. so we felt that taking all these things into consideration, everything was pointing towards ‘ THE SCRIPT ‘ as a name, so we wore it for a while and now its stuck!

Where is one place you want to go on tour? Brazil!

What is your favorite song to perform? Breakeven.

What is the most impactful thing that has happened to you?
Almost Dying. You learn to really appreciate life for what it is, LIFE!

What is one thing you are hoping to do in the future?
Play in the biggest stadiums in the world as the headline act.

If you could be doing anything else besides being in the band, what would it be?
Be a millionaire and give away money to people who really needed it.

Is there anything you would go back and change if you could?
No, nothing. I am who and what I am because of what I’ve been through.

What/who were your inspirations to get into the music business?
My Dad. Phil Collins, Stuart Copeland, Dave Weckl and above all else, U2.

If you could meet anyone who would it be?

If you could do a collaboration with anyone, who would it be?

If you could say one thing to your fans what would it be?
Thank you so much for giving us this blessed chance and blessed existence.
